AMERIPAC is a Leadership Political Action Committee that was founded in 1992 by its Honorary Chairman, Steny H. Hoyer, in order to help elect Democratic leaders to the United States Congress. Through AMERIPAC, Congressman Hoyer has traveled tirelessly throughout the country to recruit Democratic candidates and re-elect Democratic Members who bring innovative and creative approaches to solving our nation's problems. In the 2018 election cycle, Congressman Hoyer campaigned for over 135 Democrats across 32 states, and he is ready to campaign across the country for the 2020 election cycle.
Under Congressman Hoyer’s guidance, AMERIPAC has worked hard to ensure that Members, candidates, campaign committees and state parties have the resources they need to succeed. Since his election to Congress in 1981, Congressman Hoyer has given or raised over $63.5 million to help elect Democrats to public office. During the 2018 election cycle, Congressman Hoyer contributed or raised $10.5 million for Democratic candidates. In addition to financial support, AMERIPAC also provides strategic guidance to Members and candidates on fundraising, organizing, communications and policy.
