Hoyer to Visit New York in Support of Democratic Candidates

Washington, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer will travel to New York today and tomorrow to raise money for House Democratic candidates.

Sunday afternoon. Hoyer will attend a fundraiser for candidate Max Rose (NY-11), who is running against incumbent freshman Republican Rep. Dan Donovan to represent Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn.  Rose is a former executive with Bright Point Health and former aide to the Brooklyn District Attorney.  Earlier, he served on active duty in Afghanistan, where he was decorated for his actions, and he continues to serve as a Captain in the National Guard.

On Monday, Hoyer will join incumbent Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) for a fundraiser. Rep. Maloney has represented New York's 18th Congressional District since 2012.  Later in the day, Hoyer will attend a fundraising event in support of candidate Anthony Brindisi (NY-22). Brindisi is a New York State Assemblyman from Utica, running against incumbent freshman Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney.

Since the start of the 2018 election cycle, Hoyer has made sixteen trips to support Democratic incumbents and challengers in 12 states, raising or contributing $1.6 million toward recapturing the House Majority.
